Devils Slide Tunnel

ESI worked on the construction of the Devils Slide Tunnel and provided the following services:

• Furnishing and installation of a 600 gpm Temporary Non-storm Water Treatment System (TNSWTS) for the treatment and discharge of groundwater encountered during the tunnel construction.

• Furnishing and installation of a 600 gpm Work Access Area Treatment System (WAATS) for the treatment and discharge of storm water runoffs from the construction areas and muck disposal site area.

• Mandatory compliance with all regulatory agencies to achieve the discharge requirements for treated water from this project into the designated outfall location to the Pacific Ocean.

• Treatment and discharge of storm water run-off from Devils Slide Tunnel Reconstruction project was performed under the permits issued by the Regional Water Board and US EPA.
